The Relationship Baker

This is an oven I made with broken clay biscuits for my optional module- Experimental Formats, for the first brief which was called "Touchy-Feely". The emotions given to me to make my final piece were- sweetness and irreverence, which are extremely parallel and therefore it was really difficult to work with them. But eventually, I came up with something really personal for the final outcome. I chose to describe a relationship (any relationship) between two people. A relationship with one's parents or friends, or a partner. I thought of making biscuits as a metaphor for sweetness and the oven to show the irreverent person in the relationship. The one who adds to the heat, sometimes more than needed to burn or crack the sweet biscuits. The perfect amount of sweetness and perfect amount of heat would bake the most delicious and crispy biscuits.
